If you like music, it's got great tunes. If you like dancing, that's there too. If you like quirky characters, they've got those. If you love satire, this takes it to a whole new level. It's funny and heartwarming and TRUE, and I am excited as hell for fall to come so I can see more!

I have recently started reading essays (starting with the Best American series, Essays 2006), and I've reached the surprising conclusion that I love them! So if there are any fellow essay-aficionados on my flist, or if any of you have read an awesome essay for a class, let me know! I'm eager for more awesome reading material!

Wonderful in memorandum for Kim Manners here, if you haven't seen it.

I'm ... strangely upset by Kim Manners' passing. I've never been involved with a fandom before when a key member of said fandom died before, and I somehow missed that he was even ill. ::frets:: While I never actually met him, I respected his work incredibly and he always seemed like a great, funny guy in interviews. The world has lost an immense talent.

So, uh. Yeah.

Here's to Kim Manners. Producer, director, and all around great guy. He'll be sorely missed.

In honor of the new year, I am in search of some new icons, and have come to humbly beg for help from the all-knowing flist! So please: rec me your favorite icons/artists! So I've been having issues with my computer lately, and miracle of miracles, a window of opportunity has opened up in my program to get my baby fixed. The upshot of the matter is that I'll be computerless for about a week starting tomorrow. I'll have limited internet access, so if you're trying to reach me at some point between the 7th and the 14th, please be patient. :)

10 Things In My Life Right Now That Make Me Wish I Could Purr ...

1) Being able to look out my window at mountains.

2) There's this color I've only ever seen in New England on crisp, autumn days. The sky today is edged with that blue, which means that autumn is almost here ...

3) Big E with my Dad. T minus four days and counting ...

4) My fluffy pink blanket.

5) Making friends with people in my program. It's nice to have a semi-social life again.

6) Cold air. I love that my fingers are a little chilled when I'm typing right now!

7) Funnily enough, the fact that I can't watch SPN on Thursdays. Now it'll be my friday after-school fun time to kick off the weekend. And I'll have time to properly squee before I fall apart in an exhausted heap!

8) The fact that Jared and Jensen actually live together. (Yeah, I'm still giggling over this one)

9) My folk/singalong mix CD that I made for myself and have been listening to in the car.

10) All of the wonderful feedback that my lovely flist has been giving me on my writing!
